An important goal for the Invivo X SJP collaboration has been to identify a social cause we can support and give back in a positive way to those communities that are in need. Recently, we have been working with the founder of FEED Projects Lauren Bush-Lauren. The FEED organisation was created by Lauren as a social business to fight world hunger on behalf of the UN World Food Programme.
Working to combat child hunger in America and countries around the world is a cause that is incredibly close to Sarah Jessica Parker’s heart. Invivo X, SJP co-founder Sarah Jessica comments, “Hunger is not defined by gender, race or education and has soared across the globe exponentially in the wake of the Covid pandemic. It is especially heartbreaking so many children are affected.” Actor, Entrepreneur and Activist, Sarah Jessica is a dedicated advocate for vulnerable children, actively participating in UNICEF campaigns since 1997 and working with the Food Bank for New York City.
Invivo X, SJP will support FEED in this endeavour by donating school meals to FEED who work with the UN Food Programme in 63 countries. From the current 2020 Invivo X SJP vintage proceeds, Invivo has committed to donating 330,000 school meals over the next 12 months.
“As a result of the pandemic, rates of food insecurity and hunger are meaningfully higher than they’ve been at any point in the last two decades. The FEED Foundation is so proud to partner with Invivo and Sarah Jessica Parker to help raise much-needed awareness for this issue and help fund school meal programs that make a major difference in the lives of kids in need around the world and here in the U.S,” says Lauren.
We are very honoured to be working with Lauren, who has garnered a great number of accolades for her work with FEED. She has been named one of Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Entrepreneurs, and has also received the 2010 Accessories Council Humanitarian Award; the 2011 Stevie Award for Best Non-Profit Executive; the 2011 Fashion Group International Humanitarian Award; and the 2013 Women in Communications Award (WiCi). In 2014, Lauren was named as one of Forbes’ 30 Under 30 Social Entrepreneurs.
