As if you needed another excuse to try our fizz – Graham Norton’s Own Prosecco has just won GOLD at the Global Prosecco Masters in the UK. We are absolutely delighted with this accolade.
The judging panel is made up of seven Masters of Wine – so they really know their stuff!
The Global Masters awards are judged in the UK and is part of the Drinks Business publication. At the judging, “Every wine is measured on the taste of its grape and the skill of its winemaker…all preconceived ideas about the importance of location are pushed to one side as wines from across the world are judged by style and price exclusively.”
This is the latest in a flurry of awards the Graham Norton’s Own Prosecco has picked since it launched last year. These include:
Double Gold, The China Wine and Spirit Competition 2018
Gold, Melbourne International Wine Competition 2018
Silver, The Global Sparkling Masters 2018
Cuisine Magazine, Four stars and ‘Best Buy’ – 2018 Sparkling tasting
Bronze, International Wine Challenge 2018: “Simple and delicate aroma of red and green apple. Floral notes of acacia.”
91 points and 4.5 stars, Sam Kim’s Wine Orbit: “Ripe, fresh and fragrant, the inviting bouquet shows juicy stone fruit, mandarin, lemon peel and floral characters. The palate is equally charming with vibrant fruit flavours and smooth mouthfeel, wonderfully complemented by refreshing acidity.”
This Extra Dry Prosecco is the fourth addition to the Graham Norton range, which Marie Claire says is ‘one of the most successful celebrity wine collaborations ever’. Our Prosecco comes from the beautiful Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia wine growing regions in Northern Italy where Prosecco vines have been growing for generations.
Tasting note: Beautiful fine bubbles set the tone for pure enjoyment. Graham Norton’s own Prosecco is sublimely light and fresh with aromas of white flowers and a hint of citrus. The fine mousse fills your senses with sweet scented floral notes and finishes beautifully crisp.
We’ll definitely pop a few corks to that! Cheers!
