The Marlborough region, through its geology, geography and climate, is one of the greatest areas in the world to grow aromatic wines. Its glacially formed valleys and alluvial river flats have created a discreet region separated by mountains.
This combined with long sunshine hours and maritime influences creates a unique combination of factors that produces incredible aromatics in white wines. The hot days and cool nights let grapes ripen while still retaining all the delicate aromatic flavours that are often lost in warmer climates.
Invivo’s vineyard sites in the Dashwood and the Awatere Valley are blessed with their own unique microclimates and soil types. These sites are typically cool and have very long growing seasons allowing the whole spectrum of Sauvignon Blanc flavours to be captured and therefore giving Invivo its unique character.
