Tasting Note
2019 was a nice cushy vintage: no rain, no stress, nice steady ripening, good solid crops. We could have made good wine blindfolded!
We had to watch the acidity a little bit as it was rocketing downhill very quickly, but we picked nice and early and captured the good zingy stuff. We stuck to our roots with 2019 – not too passionfruit-y but lovely citrus/tropical aromas and flavours. The warm season has given a slightly softer appearance to the 2019 Sauvignon, but the balance is there and it’s a juicy, big and very drinkable wine.

Four Stars, Cuisine Magazine
94 points / 5 stars, Wine Orbit:
“Fabulously fruited and intensely aromatic, the bouquet shows passionfruit, feijoa and green rockmelon characters with a hint of musky complexity. The palate is succulent and persistent with excellent fruit intensity backed by refreshing acidity, finishing impressively long and tasty.” Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
4 stars, Michael Cooper’s Buyer’s Guide 2020:
“The 2019 vintage (****) is fresh and aromatic, with very good body and depth of ripe tropical-fruit flavours, lees-aging notes adding complexity, moderate acidity, and a finely balanced, lingering finish.”
