It’s been three years in the making and we are delighted that our collaboration with Sarah Jessica Parker is finally on shelves around the world! This delicious wine was created over a three-hour blending session in New York earlier this year with Sarah Jessica and has already won TWO GOLD medals at wine competitions and been awarded 95 points. The Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is available initially in New Zealand, Australia, USA, UK, Ireland and Japan.
We enjoyed a fantastic and busy launch day in New York City with Sarah Jessica Parker, which included a bottle signing, tasting and a launch party. If you are in New Zealand you may have caught Sarah Jessica talking about her wine on TV1’s Breakfast or with Mike Hosking on ZB.
“This is a seriously drinkable Sauvignon Blanc that will continue to develop for up to seven years” says Rob Cameron, our co-founder & winemaker. “Sarah Jessica loves the fruit purity of Sauvignon Blanc but wanted to make a wine that has some weight behind it. The result is a beautifully well-balanced drop - think flavours of grapefruit, honey-suckle flower, passionfruit and citrus zest balanced with an acidic spine – it’s not a typical Marlborough Sauvignon.”
Sarah Jessica was hands-on throughout the whole process: “While I’m new to winemaking, the Invivo fellows generously taught, showed and shared as much of the art and science of their business and hopefully I have absorbed some of their Kiwi confidence.”
