Invivo Marlborough Sophie's Rosé 2013

Sophie’s Rosé 2013 reflects the dry season in Marlborough with some warmer strawberries characters coming through.

Slightly longer skin time has also given the wine a beautiful cherry pink hue to compliment the mulled summer berries in the nose and palate. A dry style but with pleasing fruit sweetness this wine will drink fantastically through summer but also easily deliver well into the following warmer seasons.

Sophie’s Rosé is a perfect summer drink and will accompany barbecue, salads and seafood extremely well.

Winemaking

The fruit was hand harvested and transported to the winery’s cool store where the bins were chilled to 2-4oC. Once down to temperature the fruit was de-stemmed and lightly crushed into open fermenters. The must was kept cold and hand plunged twice daily for 72 hours and then pressed. The juice was then cold settled, racked and fermented using Sauvignon Blanc yeasts.
